Las Vegas Raiders: 5 players who must impress against the Los Angeles Rams
No. 3 tight end
Ok, I’m going to cheat a little bit here, as teams very rarely go into the season with more than three tight ends, and currently, the Raiders have six. The players who are on the chopping block are Derek Carrier, Matt Bushman, Nick Bowers, and Alex Ellis.
These four players are fighting for one spot on the team. Carrier has the advantage because he has the experience, and was on the team last season. However, Alex Ellis has had a really good camp, and rookie Matt Bushman has natural talent.
Nick Bowers signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in May of last season after having a fantastic career at Penn State.
The final player looking for that tight end spot with Alex Ellis, who signed with the team this offseason after entering the league as an undrafted free agent with the Titans. He bounced around the league to a few other teams eventually, landing with the Raiders, and is a long-shot to make the roster in Las Vegas.
