The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Los Angeles Rams in their second 2021 preseason game, and here are three things to watch for.

So far, so good for the Las Vegas Raiders this summer, as they had a nice effort in their preseason opener against Seattle, and have looked good during joint practices with the Los Angeles Rams. On Saturday night, the Raiders will take on the Rams in their second preseason game of 2021, hoping to continue to trend in the right direction.

There are plenty of storylines heading into this one, and we take a look at three of them here.

Continuation of the scrimmages

The joint practice on Wednesday with the Rams was chippy, to say the least, as the Raiders went into it looking to get better on both sides of the ball. Between Hunter Renfrow burning Jalen Ramsey time and time again, to a few scuffles, it was clear that both teams were playing with a high level of passion.

That was the complete opposite of the first preseason game, where many of the Raiders starters did not go, and a ton of roster bubble guys got most of the playing time. The Rams and Raiders will have another scrimmage today in preparation for Saturday’s matchup, and it will be interesting to see if they bring that kind of tenacity inside SoFi Stadium.
