Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams: 3 bold predictions

Ragas emerges as true RB3 for the Raiders

During the team’s win against Seattle, both Trey Ragas and B.J. Emmons did a tremendous job running the football. Looking at the two undrafted free agents, I actually like Ragas to emerge in this battle, and possibly secure the team’s RB3 role with another solid effort against the Los Angeles Rams.

Ragas has the skill set that this depth chart needs, as he is a bruiser of a runner, and is an outstanding blocking running back. When you couple him with the dynamic playmaking ability of both Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake, it makes the Raiders’ top-3 running backs a much more balanced unit.

If he was healthy, Jalen Richard would be the favorite to land this role, but we have not seen him all summer, and we are less than a month away from the season opener against Baltimore. Las Vegas knows what they have in Richard, and they may not need to see him play for him to secure a roster spot, but if Ragas plays the way he did last weekend, it is going to be hard to keep off this roster.
