The Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Los Angeles Rams in 2021 preseason Game No. 2, and here is our preview and prediction for the matchup.

Saturday night, the Las Vegas Raiders will take on the Los Angeles Rams in their second preseason game of 2021. During the week, the Silver and Black took on the Rams in some spirited scrimmages, battles that ended in a fight to close out the joint sessions.

During that time, the Raiders certainly did not look overmatched by the Rams, especially on defense, where they were able to get some interceptions from Matthew Stafford. Remember, the Raiders defense was a real issue last season and has been for quite some time, but we are starting to see them gel already this summer.

While it is only the preseason, that is a great sign, and against the Rams, they should be able to continue to move in the right direction. Head coach Sean McVay has already said that Stafford will not play in the preseason, which means the Silver and Black should be able to feast on the likes of John Wolford and Devlin Hodges.

Also, you can expect a steady dose of the run game, one that dominated the Seahawks thanks to the strong play of undrafted rookies B.J. Emmons and Trey Ragas. Marcus Mariota should also make his preseason debut, giving the team two guys who know how to run Jon Gruden’s offense well under center.

Upfront, Alex Leatherwood and Andre James will continue to get reps, and hopefully, the team can get more production from the wideouts, like we saw from Zay Jones, Keelan Doss, and D.J. Turner against Seattle. Overall, while there is not a ton of star power, I am loving seeing all these players step up.

Raiders at Rams Prediction

I like the Raiders to go into SoFi Stadium and dominate this one, with Mariota throwing for a score, and the defense really putting the clamps down once again, winning by ten-plus points. Of course, if you are thinking of betting the game, you can head over to WynnBet and place down some money, but this is in no way a betting prediction.
