Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 53-man roster prediction after preseason Game No. 2

Quarterback (3): Derek Carr, Marcus Mariota, Nathan Peterman

We have not seen Derek Carr all preseason, and that will likely be the case the rest of the way, as the Raiders only have one game left against the San Francisco 49ers. In fact, we have not seen the starter, or backup for the Raiders during the preseason, as Marcus Mariota continues to battle back to full strength.

What we have seen is third-string signal-caller Nathan Peterman, who has taken nearly every snap for the Raiders this preseason. He has looked good at times and is likely to remain on the 53-man roster, especially after being given a new contract this offseason.

Jon Gruden trusts Peterman to run his offense, and the Raiders have a solid duo atop the depth chart in Carr and Mariota. Unless he gets hurt, Carr is going to be the starter in Week 1, and through the entire 2021 campaign, and while Mariota could be traded before the season starts, the expectation is that all three signal-callers will be on the roster against Baltimore.
