Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 53-man roster prediction after preseason Game No. 2
Defensive Tackle (5): Johnathan Hankins, Quinton Jefferson, Solomon Thomas, Gerald McCoy, Darius Philon
One group that has looked impressive this preseason has been the defensive tackle group, which looks fast and explosive in Gus Bradley’s defense. We know what the team is going to get from Johnathan Hankins, who played well for a bad defense in 2020, and he is going to be the anchor for this unit in 2021.
The talent added has looked great this preseason as well, as Quinton Jefferson, Solomon Thomas, and Darius Philon have all looked like they will secure roster spots. Philon has been a very exciting player to watch, and after not being in the league for a few years, looks ready to impact this defense in a big way.
Gerald McCoy is the latest addition to this position group, and I believe there is no way he is not on the 53-man roster for the matchup against the Ravens. He has come in and become a leader for this Raiders defensive line, bringing incredible experience upfront, and for the first time, the defensive line is something to be excited about.
