Dallin Leavitt needs to go
For as many good plays as Nate Hobbs had in Saturday’s game, Dallin Leavitt might’ve had as many bad. Last week, Leavitt was why the Seahawks scored any points in that game by taking a bad angle to the ball carrier and missing the tackle.
Guess what Leavitt did in this game? Take one of the worst angles imaginable.
On a fourth down, and with two in the final minutes of the game, Leavitt was unleashed on a blitz, and quarterback Bryce Perkins ran a rollout and skated right past Leavitt. Leavitt was running to where Perkins was, and not where he was going to be, as commentator Aquib Talib pointed out right after the play happened.
He also consistently gets beat in coverage, as the Rams went right after him in those final minutes, scoring a touchdown and missing the two-point conversation, with both passes challenging him. Leavitt reminds me too much of Erik Harris, and the Raiders have too much talent to allow Leavitt to make the team this season.
