Las Vegas Raiders: 2 possible trades with the New York Jets

This would be a tough trade for Las Vegas, as they would be giving away their former fourth overall pick from the 2019 draft. But, if they feel like Ferrell doesn’t really fit on the roster anymore, then they may consider dealing him to New York.

Ferrell had a better season last year, which may make him more enticing for New York. Even though he doesn’t compete with the pass rush talents of Carl Lawson, he can still be a solid edge rusher and run defender. Pairing Ferrell with Quinnen Williams, Sheldon Rankins, and Vinny Curry could create a decent front four.

Nothing extremely special, but they could still get the job done. Especially when it comes to rush defense.

During the past week, Richie Incognito suffered a calf injury. Luckily, it doesn’t seem to serious, but there is no doubt that Incognito is injury prone since he’s a bit older than the average player. This may lead to Las Vegas pursuing Dan Feeney in this trade scenario, especially if they don’t have confidence in backup linemen John Simpson and Nick Martin.

Feeney is a solid player with good versatility, as he can shift around the line when needed. He possesses good speed and strength that allow him to play decently as both a run and pass blocker. These traits would make Feeney a valuable asset to the offensive line, and he could takeover Incognito’s job if he gets injured or once the 2021 season ends.
