While Peterman has been the man under center this summer, it is Marcus Mariota who will be the backup to Derek Carr in 2021 once again, giving the team great stability at the most important position in sports.

However, Mariota has stated that he is keeping an eye on the rest of the league in terms of locking down another starting job, so trading him is not out of the cards. We have seen teams lacking depth at the position, and some starters really struggling this summer, and as he showed last season, Mariota can still come in and be a productive starter.
