Las Vegas Raiders at San Francisco: 3 bold predictions in 2021 Preseason Game No. 3

D.J. Turner earns a roster spot with his effort against the 49ers

This week, Greg Olson spoke about the wide receiver spot being the one with the toughest cuts ahead, and that could point to a veteran being let go. We already know that three men, Hunter Renfrow, Henry Ruggs III, and Bryan Edwards spots on this roster are safe, and Zay Jones is likely in that group as well.

That leaves two spots open, and while two veterans arrived this offseason in Willie Snead and John Brown, it is an undrafted rookie who I believe will earn a roster spot. D.J. Turner can do so many things for this Raiders team, whether in the passing game, or on special teams, and that will prove to be the difference in the competition.

The next time we see the Silver and Black play another team will be in Week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens, as the perennial AFC playoff team tries to beat the Silver and Black inside Allegiant Stadium. The home fans will be rocking in that one, and hopefully, the Raiders have done enough this offseason to be a playoff contender themselves in 2021.
