The Las Vegas Raiders must have their 53-man roster set by August 31 at 1PM PT, and here, we track all the recent cuts leading up to the deadline.

The Las Vegas Raiders wrapped up their 2021 preseason with a 34-10 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, a game that saw most of the 49ers starters play against the Raiders reserves. Outside of the loss to the 49ers on Sunday, it has been a pretty solid offseason for Las Vegas, who brought in a ton of new players to fill some crucial voids.

The 2021 NFL Draft class has had some bright moments as well, including first-round pick Alex Leatherwood, who looks ready to be a starting right tackle at the NFL level. Nate Hobbs, a fifth-round pick, was the star of the preseason, likely earning a starting role, while we saw flashes from Tre’Von Moehrig and Malcolm Koonce.

Even better, we saw some 2020 selections step up, including Tanner Muse and Amik Robertson, two players who are going to help this defense in a big way in 2021.

So now is the time when teams start cutting, as they have to bring their rosters from 80 players right now, to the required 53-man list by 1PM PT on Tuesday. That means the cuts are going to be coming in quickly, as teams do not always just cut 27 players at once, but do it over the next two days.

Here, we will update the cut list as they come in, while also giving some analysis on some of the bigger names to be shown the door. One thing to remember for 2021, players on the COVID-19 list do not count against the team’s 53-man.

The Week 1 matchup against Baltimore is right around the corner, and while the Raiders are cutting their players to get down to 53 men, there are also going to be a lot of cut players around the NFL that they may want to take a look at. When all is said and done, we know what most of the roster is going to look like, but there could be guys on the initial 53-man roster that are not with the team in Week 1.
