Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 53-man roster prediction after preseason finale

Running Back (4): Josh Jacobs, Kenyan Drake, Trey Ragas, Alec Ingold

Josh Jacobs and Kenyan Drake have the chance to be one of the most dynamic running back duos in the league. Both players possess incredible skillsets, and their strengths complement the other’s weaknesses. Jacobs possesses the power and finesse, and Drake has the speed and reception abilities.

Having both players, regardless of what they cost, is a great way to keep opposing defenses guessing.

Alec Ingold should continue to do what he does best, which is being a tough leading blocker for the team’s backs on rushing plays. Ingold also does a good job getting of getting open and making a catch when he runs routes. Jon Gruden should create a few more plays that utilize this aspect of Ingold’s game.

Richard is still a bit of a toss-up. He may stay around for a bit since he will be out for a few weeks, and won’t count against the 53-man if he is put on short-term IR.

In his place, Trey Ragas makes the Raiders Week 1 roster, as he showed he can make an impact in the run game, and in the passing game. Overall, this is a loaded backfield and one that could be one of the best in the game.
