Other Offensive Signings

Along with Ragas, Stoner, and Turner, Las Vegas also brought back tight end Matt Bushman, offensive lineman Jeremiah Poutasi, and center Jimmy Morrissey.

Bushman and Poutasi will probably remain on the practice squad for the entirety of the 2021 season. If either do make it to the regular roster, it would likely be because an injury required them to be called up.

That’s definitely a realistic scenario, but Las Vegas brass probably hopes that it will never come to that.

Morrissey has the potential to eventually make the roster at some point, as he’s a player that has always given it his all to earn a spot. At Pitt, Morrissey joined the team as a walk-on and redshirted. He then went on to win the battle for the starting center job and made first-team All-ACC in his senior year.

He also earned the 2020 Burlsworth Trophy, which is given to an outstanding player who began his career as a walk-on

Morrissey doesn’t seem to be the type of player who is content with only being a practice squad player his whole career. So, expect him to find a way to work his way onto the roster at some point in the future.
