Las Vegas Raiders: 3 reasons K.J. Wright will be a perfect fit

Familiarity with Gus Bradley’s system

By now, we all know that defensive coordinator Gus Bradley has an affinity for bringing in former players who have learned under his system, which certainly is not a bad thing.  All you have to do is take a look at the current defensive roster to end that discourse.

Wright played his first two seasons under Bradley when he was the defensive coordinator in Seattle, first earning the starting outside linebacker position as a rookie. In his sophomore season, Wright found himself playing over 90% of snaps while manning the outside linebacker position, becoming a player that earned Bradley’s trust.

His familiarity with Bradley, although quite some time ago, will bolster his understanding of the system, and Wright should be able to easily insert himself into the starting lineup. Not only did the Raiders get their man here, but I am sure more importantly they got Gus’s player of choice, and the defense as a whole is going to be a lot better because of it.
