The Las Vegas Raiders have an above-average quarterback in Derek Carr, who will exceed expectations in 2021 in more ways than one.
The Las Vegas Raiders will kick off their 2021 regular season inside Allegiant Stadium on Monday night, as they welcome a perennial playoff team in the Baltimore Ravens. Derek Carr and company will look to get their season off on the right foot, but playing against a Ravens defense that should be excellent again this season could be a tough task in week 1.
The Ravens go into this game a bit banged up, especially on the offensive side of the ball, where they have been depleted at running back and wide receiver. Hopefully, the Raiders have done enough this offseason revamping the defense, as they have brand new faces on all three levels, including many in key spots.
However, here, we are looking at the season that could be for Derek Carr, widely regarded as an above-average quarterback, but also one that is criticized often. The truth is, Carr is a quarterback who many teams would love to have under center, and in 2021, he is out to finally get this team back to the playoffs, and start winning when it counts.
So what do we make of Derek Carr in 2021, his eighth season as the starter, and a season where he is going to exceed expectations.
