Las Vegas Raiders: 3 reasons Derek Carr will exceed expectations in 2021

No shortage of weapons on the offensive side of the ball

We stated earlier that the Raiders offense was not the problem last season, as they got a monster season from wide receiver Nelson Agholor, Derek Carr once again threw for over 4,000 yards, and both Darren Waller and Josh Jacobs made the Pro Bowl. However, this offseason there were some changes, and when all is said and done, I believe that this could be an even more dynamic group than 2020 was.

Sure, Waller and Jacobs return and they are some of the best young talents at their position groups, but you have to think the offense will be more than just them in 2021. Kenyan Drake is an excellent addition, one that will spell Jacobs and be his own weapon in the offense, which should keep both backs healthy for what should be a 17-game grind.

Then we look at the duo of Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards, two guys entering their second seasons with huge expectations. With Hunter Renfrow back, Zay Jones looking sharp, and a veteran in Willie Snead, this wide receiver group is much more balanced than a year ago.

When Carr drops back to pass, he is going to have so many options, as well as legitimate security blankets in Jacobs and Drake.
