The Las Vegas Raiders will try to beat the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night, and they will need a strong game from Derek Carr to do so.

Derek Carr has thrown for over 4,000 yards in each of the last three seasons, helping the Raiders improve their win totals in both 2019 and 2020. In 2021, he will attempt to finally get the Silver and Black into the playoffs, and he will do so by taking on a perennial playoff team in the Baltimore Ravens.

Luckily for Derek Carr and the Raiders, the Ravens have been bitten by the injury bug leading up to this game, and recently lost an elite cornerback in Marcus Peters. While Baltimore does still have Marlon Humphrey active, one of the top corners in the game in his own right, this is a game that the Raiders should win, especially at home.

As we inch closer to Monday night, let us look at one prop bet you could be interested in for this Week 1 matchup.

Derek Carr total passing yards: O/U 255.5

Heading into the matchup against the Ravens, WynnBet has released a few player props, and for Derek Carr, they went with an over/under in terms of passing yards. While Baltimore usually has one of the best defenses in the NFL, Carr has his full cast of weapons healthy in this one, including an elite tight end in Darren Waller.

In fact, Las Vegas grabbed Waller from the Ravens practice squad a few years back, and he has gone on to be one of the best players at his position in the NFL.

Against Baltimore, Waller is going to get his, and it will be interesting to see how the team utilizes their young wide receivers in Henry Ruggs III and Bryan Edwards. Also, Carr will have the luxury of having two running backs who can rack up receiving yards, which could lead to a monster game for Carr in this one.

The truth is, Carr should be able to rack up yards against the Ravens defense, especially considering Peters is out for the entire season. For the Raiders to win, Derek Carr is going to have to play the way he did against New Orleans in primetime last season, a game that saw him throw for over 280 yards and three touchdowns.
