Las Vegas Raiders vs. Baltimore Ravens: 3 bold predictions in Week 1

Bryan Edwards Will Have Two Touchdowns

It feels like we’ve been hearing and talking about Bryan Edwards for more than just a year and a half. After the 2020 draft, some said that the selection of Edwards in the third round was the steal of the draft.

Unfortunately for Las Vegas and for Edwards, he suffered an injury and dealt with COVID-19 in his rookie season, which kept him from seeing the field much.

He had an entire offseason to heal up and become a better player, and that seems to be what he did, as we’ve constantly heard praise about Edwards from Derek Carr, Jon Gruden, and other members of the organization. Gruden and Carr have even gone as far as comparing him to Davante Adams and Chad OchoCinco. That’s some high praise that isn’t easy to live up to.

With the size that he added in the offseason, year of experience under his belt, and the chemistry he has with his quarterback, it feels as though all of this hype is legit. Also, it’s important to remember that the Baltimore Ravens just lost Marcus Peters to a torn ACL on Wednesday. That should help Las Vegas’ receiving corps find some more open space.

So, expect Edwards to potentially have a breakout game where he earns two touchdowns, with one coming as a red zone fade catch.
