Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 season game-by-game predictions

Week 4 – @ Los Angeles Chargers: Loss

The Raiders go into their first division game of the season 1-2 and will face a Chargers team also looking to jump into the playoffs. The teams split the series in 2020, so expect these games to be just as competitive this season.

The issue with this matchup is the Raiders had zero answers for quarterback Justin Herbert last season, and he should be better in 2021. Now, the Raiders defense should be improved, but Herbert is also going to grow as a player, meaning the AFC West will have two young stars at quarterback in Herbert and Patrick Mahomes.

I just think the Chargers are a notch better than the Raiders at this moment and have more blue-chip players on their roster, which will make the difference. And after possibly dropping to 1-3, fans will start to get very antsy, but the Raiders are in a position to turn things around quickly.
