Las Vegas Raiders: 3 players you must start in fantasy football 2021 Week 1

Darren Waller, Tight End

Not to be captain obvious here, but you can’t expect to read a Raiders fantasy piece without even skimming over the Raiders’ most dominant player being discussed. Waller being labeled as a starting fantasy tight end is basically a formality at this point.

The Pro Bowl tight end is essentially a wide receiver, and after breaking the Raiders reception record last season, as well as going over 1,000 yards receiving with nine touchdowns, Waller was head and shoulders the top pass-catching option for quarterback Derek Carr in 2020.

With a young roster of receivers around him, it seems that this will remain the case in 2021 as the soon to be 29-year-old captain is now viewed as the de facto No. 1 receiver in the Raiders offense. With the top wideouts for the Raiders in Henry Ruggs and Bryan Edwards being only 22-years old, it seems that Waller will officially be the go-to target in Las Vegas. He should have been valued as a wide receiver in terms of Fantasy Football, because statistically this is how he performs.

If there is one Raider you MUST have in Fantasy, look no further than Waller.
