Las Vegas Raiders: 3 keys to a second-half comeback in Week 1 vs. Ravens

Get more playmakers involved

Early on in the game, it was clear what the game plan was for the Raiders, and that was to get the ball into Darren Waller’s hands. While that is usually a great strategy, the Ravens had an excellent game plan, and early on, he had only one reception on seven targets for 13 yards.

As the half wore on, Carr finally started looking in other directions, including getting Hunter Renfrow more involved and taking some shots at Bryan Edwards. He needs to continue to do that in the second half, because, while Waller is going to get his, it could come down to a big play from Renfrow, Edwards, or even Zay Jones that proves to be the difference.

The Raiders are still very much in this game, but it will take all hands on deck for them to come away with victory No. 1 of the 2021 season. Getting Ruggs, Edwards, and Renfrow more involved is paramount, because Baltimore is doing a great job on Waller so far in this one.
