Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Keys to victory against Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2

Offensive Line must protect Derek Carr better than they did in Week 1

The Las Vegas Raiders’ new offensive line was put to the test versus the Baltimore Ravens last week. Baltimore’s defensive coordinator Don Martindale had his unit present various looks and executed different blitzes against Las Vegas’ new offensive front.

Per Pro Football Reference, the Ravens generated 13 pressures against the Raiders in Week 1. That number makes them tied for third in the NFL last weekend; in that regard, who was first?

The Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Steelers generated an astounding 18 pressures while blitzing the least amount of times (1.8% of dropbacks) in last weekend’s NFL action. Both defensive end T.J. Watt and defensive tackle Cameron Heyward can change a game in one play, and Las Vegas must execute this weekend.

In addition, to pass protection, the Silver and the Black offensive line must improve in another area.
