3 Las Vegas Raiders to watch against the Steelers in Week 2

Bryan Edwards, Wide Receiver

The Raiders have one of the best tight ends in Darren Waller, and this was for sure the case this past Monday. The Raiders struggled early on as quarterback Derek Carr could not consistently connect with any receiver outside of Waller in the first half.

The narrative in the second half changed, as Carr and his rapport with his young receivers were finally in full effect, as they came up time and time again in the clutch. The best of the group arguably was the second-year receiver, Bryan  Edwards.

His 81 receiving yards were second on the team after Waller, and he very nearly won the game for the Raiders in overtime. After looking lost and non-existent in the first half, the former South Carolina product came alive with the rest of the Raiders receiving corps and looked like he could develop into a No. 1 receiver.

This will have to be the hope in Pittsburgh if the Raiders have any chance of overcoming the intense defense of the Steelers. Keep an eye on Edwards, as it seems Carr now fully trusts his up-and-coming young receiver.
