The Las Vegas Raiders take on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2, and here are three Raiders to keep an eye on in the matchup.
The Las Vegas Raiders’ confidence is sky-high after Monday night’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, and hopefully, this will remain the case as they face an even tougher task Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are led almost entirely by their stifling defense, a defense that manhandled All-Pro quarterback Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in Week 1. The Ravens defense is very strong, but nothing compared to a unit led by last year’s sack leader in TJ Watt, especially due to all the injuries for Baltimore on that side of the ball.
With an assortment of injuries to the Raiders already after one week, the Silver and Black are in a much more difficult situation heading into the clash with the Steelers in Pittsburgh. Offensive guard Denzelle Good is done for the year with a torn ACL, a knee injury is also ending the season of defensive tackle Gerald McCoy, and it looks like defensive end Yannick Ngakoue also won’t be suiting up this weekend.
Injuries should not completely doom the team as the Raiders showed they were able to replace these players throughout the game to a very high degree of success, but against the Steelers, the team will need all hands on deck.
Specific players will surely have to step up for the team to pull out a difficult win.
