Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Fantasy Football Week 2 Start ‘Em or Sit ‘Em

Sit ‘Em

Josh Jacobs, Running Back

This is not only because Jacobs is dealing with an assortment of injuries, as he tends to usually be a bit banged up and still puts up numbers. This is all on the matchup. The Steelers’ defense is one of the best in football, and this showed in Week 1, as they stifled the Buffalo Bills.

Jacobs will get his carries, if he is healthy enough to go, but will they amount to anything? Probably not, so Jacobs should be used with caution because while he could be a goal-line threat, don’t expect him to put up high rushing yards numbers.

Henry Ruggs, Wide Receiver

Henry Ruggs III has turned into a dependable deep threat option for Carr, although Ruggs seems to have more misses than hits. The Steelers’ defense rarely gives up big plays, and this is where Ruggs thrives.

The Steelers secondary is one of the best in the NFL and will look to cancel out the deep ball in this one. This may be a defensive battle, so throwing might be secondary as the Raiders try to carve out a niche in the running game on this one. Sitting Ruggs for this one should be expected.
