Las Vegas Raiders at Pittsburgh Steelers: 3 things to watch for in Week 2
Will Bryan Edwards emerge as a true WR1?
One of the big things that came out of the Raiders win against Baltimore was the play of Bryan Edwards late in the game. Edwards emerged as a legitimate threat in the fourth quarter, and in overtime, and it will be interesting to see if that bleeds over into the Pittsburgh game.
Since being drafted, all the talk has been about how skillful Edwards is, and the expectations were really high entering his rookie year. He struggled in Year 1, and struggled early on against the Ravens, but after his breakout play late in the victory against Baltimore, you can expect him to be worked into the offense early and often on Sunday.
The Las Vegas Raiders finally welcomed fans into beautiful Allegiant Stadium in Week 1, and the stars certainly came out for the event.
This is a huge game if the Raiders want to be considered a legitimate playoff contender, as they go back home to host the Miami Dolphins in Week 3. Las Vegas is dealing with a ton of injuries right now, and will have to have an excellent game plan on a short week, but as we saw in Week 1, there is no quit in this team.
