Las Vegas Raiders: Studs and Duds from Week 2 vs. Steelers

Duds: Offensive line injuries

These two duds go hand-in-hand as the Raiders rushing attack struggled even more so as the game went on and the offensive line injuries piled up. So to be clear, this dud is not for the offensive line itself, but for all the injuries it has suffered already this season.

Starting guard Richie incognito has now missed the first two games and starting right guard Denzelle Good was hurt early on in week one. In this match-up with Pittsburgh, the Raiders were already down two starters before right tackle Alex Leatherwood suffered an oblique injury and could not finish the game.

There has been no indication on if Leatherwood will miss more time so we will have to wait and see.

It is a testament to Tom Cable that the Raiders were able to hold up in past protection with so many backups but this is a real cause for concern as the season goes on. We saw last season that the cumulative impact of offensive line injuries may not be felt right away but as more and more players get injured, the weaker the overall unit is and the more it will struggle.

If the Raiders want to continue this hot streak and keep Derek Carr upright, they need to get healthy and stay healthy on the offensive line.
