Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Miami Dolphins to Worry About in Week 3

Myles Gaskin, Running Back

If you are reading this, you are surely seeing how difficult it is to come up with playmakers for this Dolphins offensive unit. The numbers, like Waddle’s, would suggest that Myles Gaskin has not shown he can lead a backfield.

It is truly hard to say, as the Dolphins boast one of the worst offensive lines in all of football. Nevertheless, the two-way ability of Gaskin must be accounted for, as he is a three-down back in this Dolphins system.

And with a backup starting this week in quarterback Jacoby Brissett, the Dolphins will be possibly be looking to not only use the ground game more but use short passing to move the ball up the field. Gaskin is not only the Dolphins leading rusher but also the third leading receiver on this roster.

Gaskin will be depended on early and quite often in an offense that will not look to go deep much on the Raiders vaunted defense. The whole defense should keep an eye on Gaskin, as he is not only the Dolphins’ biggest threat on the ground but should be one of their top options in the passing game as well.
