Raiders at Steelers: Offensive Grades in 2021 Week 2

Tight End

Last week, on Monday Night Football,l Darren Waller dominated the Ravens, collecting ten receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown on 19 targets.  This week was a little different, as the Steelers were throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, to make anybody but Waller beat them.

Unfortunately for them, you can’t completely contain a player that has the talent that Waller has, as he still had five receptions for 65 yards, one of them a huge 25 yarder.  Look for Waller to have a huge game against the Miami Dolphins come Sunday.

Foster Moreau tore his ACL toward the end of his rookie year, after having flashes of being able to be a contributor in the passing game.  Last season, as he was still getting back to 100% after his knee injury, the Raiders signed Jason Witten to take his snaps much to Raiders fans’ dismay.

This season he seems to be back to where he was before his injury and back to being a playmaker.  Moreau had two huge catches in this game for 34 yards and a touchdown, and even Derek Carrier pitched in a couple of catches for 13 total yards.

While teams continue to game plan for Darren Waller the other tight ends will need to step up and it seems they are ready to do just that.
