4 reasons the Las Vegas Raiders will beat the Miami Dolphins in Week 3

Quarterback Advantage

Even with Tua starting on Sunday, the Raiders would have had a massive advantage here in terms of quarterback play.  Derek Carr is in his eighth NFL year, and fourth under Jon Gruden and his offensive coaching staff, which is the kind of consistency he has never had.

Tua is entering his second season after a major injury in college and a weird rookie year in which he was named the starter but wasn’t trusted enough by the coaching staff. Anytime Tua struggled, he was replaced, as was the case when the Dolphins came back to shock the Raiders last season.

Last week, the Dolphins could not get anything going on offense, no matter if Brissett or Tua were in the game. The same cannot be said for Carr, who has quickly vaulted into the MVP conversation and is off to his best start as a pro.

Even though the Dolphins have two of the better cornerbacks in the league with Xavien Howard and Byron Jones and a young safety in Jevon Holland, a player I was very high on coming out of college in this draft, I believe Derek Carr will still have the opportunity to light up this Dolphins defense.
