3 Las Vegas Raiders to keep an eye on in 2021 Week 3

Derek Carr, Quarterback

In a perfect world, the Las Vegas Raiders will get out to a big lead, allowing Derek Carr to rest a bit towards the end of this one. Carr is coming off a game where he gave the fans, and his teammates a big scare, as he looked to re-injure the ankle he broke five years ago.

However, the Dolphins did not go away quietly last season, coming back and heartbreakingly beating the Raiders, so expect Carr to be in there the entire game.

So far, Carr has looked the best he ever has in his career. It is very early in the season, and any MVP chatter should be quelled by the fact it has only been a couple of weeks, but it is hard not to get excited about his play, especially considering he has displayed these types of numbers against strong defenses in the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Carr will be going up against some strong cornerbacks in this game, but he is excellent at using all of his weapons, spreading the ball out all over the field. Keep an eye on the captain, as he will try to move the Raiders to 3-0, and push the envelope even more for his (early) MVP case.
