Running Back

If the Raiders were going to have one issue on offense, well, this would be the spot. Not only were the Raiders once again without starting running back Josh Jacobs, but they were coming off a horrendous performance on the ground in Pittsburgh.

The Raiders backs only mustered a combined 41 yards rushing in the Week 2 victory, so going into this contest, the expectation was that Carr would have to lead the troops once again, solely through the air. Apparently, Peyton Barber did not get the memo.

The veteran back who was picked up right before the season opener, delivered in a big way on Sunday. He was not perfect, and his goal-line fumble could have been costly, had the ball not been miraculously recovered by fullback Alec Ingold, but after this blunder, he was on fire. The back went over the 100-yard rushing mark, the first of its kind in a Raiders season in which no back had accomplished this so far.

He played a key role in victory, and with Jacobs likely back this week, he will take a backseat, but maybe the Raiders have two reliable rushers to depend on now.
