Las Vegas Raiders vs Miami Dolphins: 2021 Week 3 Offensive Grades
By Alex Perl
The Las Vegas Raiders did not have Josh Jacobs once again, but the offense still put up 31 points in the victory over the Miami Dolphins.
The Las Vegas Raiders came into this matchup vs the Miami Dolphins viewed as a one-trick pony, although this one trick has paid dividends, as quarterback Derek Carr entered the contest as the passing yards leader in the NFL. Carr has been playing behind a broken-down offensive line, and no help from his running backs, but he has been outstanding through three weeks.
What we saw on Sunday was shocking, as not only were the Raiders stuck in a dog fight with the Miami Dolphins for nearly the entire contest, but the running game which has been downright lethargic, finally came alive in Vegas. The Raiders entered the contest for the second consecutive week without running back Josh Jacobs, and what they got was indeed a surprise from the backfield.
The passing game was routinely sparkling as Derek Carr once again almost ticked off the 400 yards passing box. With nearly 500 total yards, it’s safe to say the Raiders’ offense was once again a force in another victory on a so-far undefeated start to the season.
We will take a look at the grades for the offense in this contest.
