Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Los Angeles Chargers to worry about in Week 4

Joey Bosa, Defensive End

The Chargers’ defense as a whole has been in the middle of the pack, but they have some exceptional talent In some of these defensive positions. The best of the bunch is Joey Bosa, he honestly would be the best on most teams.

Bosa is a constant threat to get to the quarterback, and although he is playing outside linebacker in a new system, he still is not missing a beat as he continues to pressure the opposing quarterback. This will be an interesting battle as the Raiders’ new defensive coordinator is also former Chargers defensive coordinator Gus Bradley.

In his first season, he has been quite a revelation for the Raiders, as many fans and media pundits alike questioned the hire and his ability to stick with the unpopular 4-3 defense, considering the Raiders’ woes in this defensive system a season ago. It would seem with such familiarity with this defense, that Gus might have some tips to whisper into the ears of head coach Jon Gruden and offensive coordinator Greg Olson, especially on how to contain or try to contain Bosa.

There is probably no real game-plan on how to contain the ability of such a dynamic player like Bosa, his strength and ability to get around or through blocks are exceptional, but if the Raiders have a chance in this one, they must worry about the play of Bosa.
