Las Vegas Raiders: 3 Los Angeles Chargers to worry about in Week 4
Mike Williams, Wide Receiver
I know what you are thinking reading this name, and I am fully aware from a talent standpoint that Keenan Allen is by far the best receiver in this Chargers offense, but 2021 has seen a different narrative for Los Angeles. The 26-year-old Williams is leading the Chargers in virtually every receiving statistic thus far while racking up nearly 100 yards receiving per game.
Injuries have played a larger role in his up-and-down career so far, but the big-bodied receiver is playing lights out football so far this season. Justin Herbert has a knack for spreading the ball among a slew of receivers, and Williams should not be the only receiver that the Raiders keep a watchful eye on, but his play this season has been clutch and consistent, and the Silver and Black should not underestimate the large target in Williams.
He may be finally coming into his own as a receiver and seems to have taken really well to this new playbook.
The Las Vegas Raiders travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers in Week 4 on Monday night in their first divisional matchup of 2021.
Quarterback Herbert must be watched at all times for sure, but in terms of his new favorite target in Williams, this must be a player the Raiders do not underestimate, but should also formulate a game-plan to stop, as so far none of the three teams he has faced have figured out how to do so.
