Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Fantasy Football Week 4 Start or Sit

Start

Derek Carr, Quarterback

I have been banging the drum for tight end Darren Waller as the top fantasy option on this Raiders team for weeks now. And in fantasy football, running backs and wide receivers tend to have top billing.

But this is not the case in terms of quarterback Derek Carr.

The quarterback is in his eighth year in charge of the offense and is making plays he never has in his entire career. He is only the fourth quarterback in NFL history to throw for 1,200 yards through his first three contests and will look to continue his sparkling play against a middling Chargers defense.

No matter the opponent, or how stifling a defense may seem, Carr has so far, more than delivered. If he is on your roster, start him at any and all costs.

Henry Ruggs III, Wide Receiver

It is time to finally give some respect to the former first-round pick. For all of the chatter and criticism he faced as a rookie last season, Ruggs has officially arrived in Vegas. Carr has spread the wealth among his receivers, but it seems that Ruggs may be rising as the best one.

Hunter Renfrow is a beacon of consistency, and Bryan Edwards is a dependable and big-bodied sure-handed target, but in terms of the most dynamic, it is hands down Henry Ruggs. With blazing speed, Carr has been looking his way multiple times a game on deeper routes, and athleticism that sees him make not only make spectacular catches.

Do not expect the Chargers to buck this trend come Monday, if you have Ruggs on your fantasy roster, start him and let him fly.
