Las Vegas Raiders: 2021 Fantasy Football Week 4 Start or Sit

Sit

Peyton Barber, Running Back

The veteran running back was a revelation in Week 3 vs the Miami Dolphins, after a lackluster performance in Week 2 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He displayed talent in rushing and receiving in the narrow victory on Sunday and became so far, the only Raiders back to top the 100-yard rushing mark in a game this season.

Despite the incredible showing by Barber (and I am fully aware of the goal-line fumble), his touches in the upcoming game will be severely limited with the likely return of starting back Josh Jacobs. Barber may have some RB3 upside as a red zone option, but do not bank on it.

Sit him, even if you did collect some well-needed points from him in week 3.

Raiders Defense

Depending on the type of fantasy football you play, defense either will or won’t factor in. If it does, well this is the one case you might want to start another defense in. The Raiders defense has surely improved from a season ago and has been one of the key reasons the Silver and Black are 3-0 at this point.

However, the Chargers boast a very talented and deep offensive roster led by quarterback Justin Herbert. History has shown us that Raiders and Chargers contests tend to be shootouts that routinely hit the high scoring of ’30s to ’40s.

So do not expect a change here, a Monday night clash in Los Angeles has the type of high drama and high-scoring offenses that we should expect to see as usual between these two bitter rivals. So don’t fall in love too much with the revamped Raider defense in this one, it will surely be a high-scoring affair.
