The Raiders tough opening schedule continues as they travel to SoFi Stadium to take on Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.
The best coast for football so far in this young NFL season has been the west coast. Not only are NFC West teams doing well, as two of the last five undefeated teams are in that division, but the AFC West has been dominating. The Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders are tied on top of the division both with a 3-0 record.
The Los Angeles Chargers are right behind them at 2-1, this after beating Kansas City on the road this past weekend.
The Raiders, Derek Carr, and the defense have certainly been impressive so far this season, but you could also say that about Justin Herbert and the Chargers because they could very well be undefeated also if not for a close and controversial loss to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2. Carr leads the entire NFL in passing yards after three games with 1,203 yards, and second-year quarterback Justin Herbert is fourth in the league with 956, and they both have six passing touchdowns.
This is by far the biggest game and challenge for the Raiders this season despite them becoming the first team in NFL history to open the season against three teams who won 10 games the previous season and win all three. Come along as I take a deeper dive into these two teams and give you a prediction for what will happen on Monday Night Football.
