Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers: 3 bold predictions in Week 4

Bold Prediction 2: Derek Carr adds to his MVP campaign

Derek Carr has played the best football of his career through the first three games of the 2021 NFL season. Carr is leading the entire league in passing yards with 1,203 and has thrown six touchdowns compared to throwing just two interceptions.

More importantly, Carr has led the Raiders to three straight wins to begin the season.

The Raiders franchise QB is playing with confidence and a demeanor that he has not played with before in his career. Carr is leading the NFL in deep-ball accuracy and is throwing the ball downfield at will.

He clearly trusts his many weapons, and these weapons have proven to be worthy of this trust. Whether Carr is delivering to Henry Ruggs III, Hunter Renfrow, Darren Waller, or Bryan Edwards, his pass catchers continue to make big plays when it matters and, in turn, giving Carr even more confidence.

On Monday night, Carr will need to have another huge game, in what shapes up to be a high-scoring affair between two high-powered offenses. The Raiders have a chance to go 4-0 and get a pivotal win in doing so, and Carr will be very much aware of that fact. That is when he performs his best.

Carr will have another impressive performance on Monday, continuing his streak of over 350 yards and at least 2 touchdowns.
