Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Chargers: 3 bold predictions in Week 4

Bold Prediction 3: The Raiders stay perfect

The last time the Raiders started a season 4-0, the team went on to win the AFC Championship and lose to the Buccaneers in the Super Bowl. The Buccaneers were coached by, well, Jon Gruden.

Gruden has a chance to play a role in another Raiders’ season with a 4-0 start on Monday, and the Raiders have a chance to really open some eyes around the league. While the Raiders are the only team in NFL history to begin a season 3-0 while beating three teams that had won ten or more games the previous year, the Steelers and Dolphins do not exactly look like the same teams from a year ago.

The Chargers, on the other hand, are viewed as a real contender in the AFC, with a stud young quarterback in Justin Herbert and a new Head Coach in Brandon Staley. Los Angeles did just go into Arrowhead and knock off the back-to-back defending AFC champions, so that sentiment may not be too far off.

  • The Raiders are in for a real test.
  • The Raiders are going to answer the call.

Jon Gruden and Derek Carr will go to SoFi Stadium and improve to 4-0, knocking off the Los Angeles Chargers. Derek Carr will continue to be superb, and Maxx Crosby will wreak havoc for Justin Herbert.

Buckle up, the Raiders talk will only get louder after Monday.
