4 reasonable expectations for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2021 Week 4

Protecting the ball and not giving Los Angeles extra possessions

The Las Vegas Raiders have been on the plus side of the turnover battle in most games so far this season and it’s no secret that has a lot to do with her record. Derek Carr has thrown two interceptions with one coming off a miscommunication and the other deflecting off a receiver’s hands and a defensive back’s helmet at the goal line.

They have fumbled a few times, notably on a strip-sack from TJ Watt and a couple bad snaps from Andre James but have luckily been able to recover each one. Even when Peyton barber nearly fumbled at the goal line it was recovered by Alec Ingold who nearly turned it into a touchdown.

Against the LA pass rush and their ballhawks in the secondary, ball security will be pivotal to winning the game.

The Chargers were able to upset the Chiefs in Kansas City thanks to two Patrick Mahomes interceptions and fumbles from Clyde Edwards Helaire and Tyreek Hill and will be looking to do the same against Las Vegas. LA has ballhawks in the secondary like Derwin James and Asante Samuel Jr but we expect the Raiders, and especially Derek Carr, to take care of the football and not give a potent Chargers offense extra possessions.
