Las Vegas Raiders vs Chicago Bears: Game preview and prediction for 2021 Week 5

Prediction

This is truly an odd game to call, despite the Bears having such a terrible offense, which is now hampered further by the loss of starting running back David Montgomery, the defense seems to be the driving force for this team. They say defense wins championships, and for the Bears to have any chance in this one, they better hope this is the case.

The Raiders’ offense looked terrible in the recent loss early on but will look to bounce back huge in this one. The offensive line struggles against the Los Angeles Chargers were painful to watch on Monday night, and facing possibly an even tougher challenge in the Bears defense, they will have to hold up or hold up better for the Raiders to win this one.

Fields will have his hands full in this one, as not only does he have his best running back out, but he is facing one of his toughest challenges in a Raiders defensive line that continues to pile up sacks and pressures on opposing quarterbacks. In a hostile environment, against a defense that is looking to avenge its lethargic performance in its recent loss, this one should not favor well for the rookie.

Derek Carr and the Raiders offense should rebound in this one, and although the Bears have a mighty defense, they will tire out in this one, as the Bears’ offense will provide them with little time to rest.  Also, Fields has been prone to turn the ball over, and this should also be the case in this matchup.

This game will not get out of hand early but should be a decisive win for the Raiders as they return home to a rowdy crowd in Vegas.

Prediction: Raiders 24, Bears 10
