Raiders defense against Justin Fields

This week, the Chicago Bears announced that Justin Fields will be their starting quarterback even if Andy Dalton is healthy, which was big news for the fan base. Many fans have been clamoring for the team to make the permanent switch to Fields from Day 1, and against the Raiders, he will take his first snaps as the unquestioned leader of this franchise.

Unfortunately for Fields, this is not the same Raiders defense that we see from year to year, as they are tough up front, and have talent on all three levels. He is going to be in for a long day against guys like Solomon Thomas, Maxx Crosby, and Yannick Ngakoue, as the Raiders look to pressure the young signal-caller all game long.

Fields has a very high ceiling, and will likely end up being a star in this league, but behind that offensive line, he is going to have a long day on Sunday. You can expect the Raiders’ edge rushers to pin their ears back to get after him, and in the end, he should be on the turf more times than the Bears would like.
