Despite recent challenges, the Las Vegas Raiders job is one of the most attractive in the NFL and will be a hot commodity this offseason.

This has been one of the wildest weeks in Las Vegas Raiders history as the team went from 3-0 and sitting at the top of the AFC West to 3-2 and losing their head coach Jon Gruden in exactly 7 days. This is a franchise that is no stranger to controversy thanks to the late Al Davis and things have been just as crazy since he passed in 2011.

Since the death of Davis, the Raiders traded away multiple picks for Carson Palmer, traded a future Hall of Famer in Khalil Mack for a few draft picks, rehired Jon Gruden, moved to Las Vegas, and then essentially fired Gruden all in 10 years.

It is safe to say that things have not been rosy in Raider Nation but despite the insanity currently following the organization, this will be one of the hottest coaching positions available this offseason.

The Raiders used to be a job that absolutely no one wanted thanks to the constant losing, poor ownership, and poor facilities but now there are more positive than negative factors around the team. Hopefully, Mark Davis and Mike Mayock, if he’s still around, will make the right decision in choosing the next head coach but they should have no shortage of candidates, and here’s why.
