Las Vegas Raiders at Denver Broncos: 3 things to watch in Week 6

Will the Offensive Line Improve

Even if Gruden didn’t resign, the offensive line would still be a glaring issue heading into this game. Granted, the group lost a lot of players due to injury, but they still need to find a way to get the job done.

The efficiency of this group all depends on the right side of the line. Alex Leatherwood, the team’s 2021 first-round pick, has had struggles throughout the season, and moving him inside to guard during a short week didn’t make that any easier.

He’ll have to find some type of rhythm during practice this week and carry it into the game, as the team desperately needs his speed and power to open holes for Josh Jacobs. Brandon Parker, who has shown upside in the past, will also have to get more comfortable this week as well. Not only will he need to provide lanes for the team’s backs, but he’ll also have to keep the pocket clean for Carr.

What will make things even more difficult for the struggling offensive line is that they will be facing a talented Denver Broncos front that features Von Miller and Shelby Harris. There have to come in totally ready to beat a defense with that much speed and power.

And honestly, I’m not entirely sure they are up for the task. Not with the way they have been playing at least. But if they can find a way to hold off the defense, they’ll make the offense’s day a successful one.
