Las Vegas at Denver Broncos: 3 Raiders to watch in Week 6
Josh Jacobs
The Silver and Black have shown that they essentially do not need a competent running game to pull out the victory. In fact, of the three wins they have accumulated this season, only one produced a 100-yard rusher, which was Peyton Barber and not Josh Jacobs.
Jacobs, the incumbent state,r has had a terrible start to his third season. He has battled injuries and inconsistent play, and that is something that needs to change as we move forward. Like Carr mentioned earlier, a key part of this equation must be figured out within the offensive line.
Jacobs is mauled almost immediately as he receives the ball due to the lack of talent and strength on this line. Also, injuries could be big here, as, through the five games played, Jacobs has appeared in only three. But as it stands right now, he has collected a meager 122 yards through those three games, which equates to a ‘whopping’ 3.2 yards per carry.
The young running back must figure out some way to remedy this, maybe using more shifting moves to allude defenders or whatever he may do to fix what is turning into his worst season yet. Maybe this offensive line is not fixable, and Jacobs will continue to struggle, and now he faces a team in Denver that has one of the best defenses in all of football.
4 reasons why the Las Vegas Raiders head coach is an attractive job
Despite recent challenges, the Las Vegas Raiders job is one of the most attractive in the NFL and will be a hot commodity this offseason.
Jacobs must figure it out sooner rather than later or the Raiders will continue to falter, as it seems the passing game has been also completely out of the narrative as the Raiders look to win their first game in three weeks.
