Coming off a monster win on the road, the Las Vegas Raiders will play host to the Philadelphia Eagles in their final game before their bye week.
Going into their matchup against the Denver Broncos, there were not many people who believed that the Las Vegas Raiders could come out and beat their rival on the road. Denver has been a tough place to play for the franchise in regular situations, but after their head coach resigned on Monday, it would have been possible for the Silver and Black to come out flat.
However, led by interim head coach Rich Bisaccia, the Raiders did the exact opposite, coming out firing against a tough Denver defense, taking an early lead, and never looking back. While the score ended up being 34-24, the game was not as close as that would indicate, as the Raiders dominated the Broncos on both sides of the ball.
The defense was opportunistic, forcing multiple turnovers, Maxx Crosby went off, racking up three sacks, and Derek Carr was slinging footballs through the air all game long. In what was their most complete win of the season, the Raiders absolutely showed that they are a team that should not be written off.
Raiders vs Philadelphia Odds Week 7
The Week 8 betting odds on WynnBET have the Raiders as the favorite in their matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles, but they are only three-point favorites in this one. Vegas is likely waiting to see if this Raiders team is for real, as their last time at home, as big favorites against Chicago, they laid an egg, losing 20-9.
The over/under is set at 48 in the early going, which seems about right, and if you were to bet the Silver and Black straight up on the Moneyline, you would get -165 odds.
Raiders vs Philadelphia Prediction Week 7
Things seemed different with this Raiders team in Week 6, as they certainly had a chip on their shoulder, and came out swinging against Denver. They need to have that same kind of mentality for the rest of the season, as they have some very winnable games ahead of them, including this one against the Eagles.
Las Vegas goes into their bye week after this game, and sitting at 5-2, with everything they have gone through would be the best-case scenario. Carr had his offense humming against Denver, and the defense was all over the field, showing the kind of team effort that could win this team a lot of games going forward.
When it comes to this weekend, I like the Raiders to dominate this game, getting after Jalen Hurts all game long, and winning easily, 31-17 at home.
