Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos: 2021 Week 6 defensive grades
Defensive Line
Might as well highlight the best part of the game here in the defensive line. Of the five total sacks on opposing quarterback Teddy Bridgewater on Sunday, 4.5 were from the defensive line. The star of the entire show here was defensive end, Maxx Crosby.
Crosby was all over Bridgewater on Sunday, and racked up three sacks to continue pushing the envelope of being an elite pass rusher. The former fourth-round pick is showing exactly why former head coach Jon Gruden bestowed the captain title upon him before the season began.
The defensive tackle position was also on display Sunday, a forced fumble by Solomon Thomas, a sack from Quinton Jefferson and half a sack from Damion Square (recently promoted from the practice squad) highlighted a strong defensive tackle outing, even if they did allow over 100 yards on the ground between running backs Melvin Gordon and Javonte Williams.
This defensive line unit is a strong piece of the pie in which the Raiders are now two games over .500.
