It is not too often when a defensive player is exciting to watch. Even the best defenders do their best job with things the stat sheet does not catch, however, this is not the case with Maxx Crosby. After a dominating performance in Denver, Crosby showed he is an elite pass rusher.
His three sacks paced the Raiders defense, and he was in the face of quarterback Teddy Bridgewater at nearly every stop. Crosby has become the leader of this Raider defense, which has become a well oiled machine, especially compared to a season ago when the defense was routinely giving up yards and touchdowns on nearly every drive.
Crosby has looked like a revelation for this defense, his explosive burst to get to the quarterback and vocal leadership has led the Raiders to a 4-2 record. It is fun to see him week-to-week, and this should be the case once again as he leads the troops at home against a shaky quarterback in Jalen Hurts.
