Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos: 2021 Week 6 offensive grades

Quarterback

Derek Carr came into this game very focused and was in control from beginning to end.  It all started on the Raiders opening drive when he drove the Raiders down the field connecting with Henry Ruggs III for a 48-yard touchdown to score the Raiders’ first opening-drive touchdown in 12 games.

Then, before halftime, he connected with Kenyan Drake for his first touchdown as a Raider on a beautifully placed pass.  Carr also had one more long 40-yard pass to Ruggs in the third quarter to set up Josh Jacobs’s touchdown to open the game up to a 21-point lead. Later, he connected with Bryan Edwards on a crucial third-down throw that went for 51 yards.

Derek Carr was locked in all game and it paid off with his third 350+ yard game this season, finishing with 351 yards the two touchdowns, and no interceptions against a Broncos secondary that came into the season very highly touted.  I’m excited to see how much better this offense can get now that it is fully in the very capable hands of Derek Carr.
